William Nikolaus Martin Science Scholarship
This scholarship was made possible by a generous bequest from the estate of Mr. William Nikolaus Martin and is intended to provide the university with the means to attract and retain top students in graduate programs in the Faculty of Science who are studying chemistry, physics, or computer science, and to provide financial assistance to these students.

This scholarship will be granted to outstanding students (domestic or international) who are entering the first year of study in the MSc Chemistry program. It is understood that if programs in PhD Chemistry, MSc or PhD Physics, and MSc or PhD Computer Science become available in the future, first-year applicants to these programs will also be eligible for consideration.

The scholarship will be granted to outstanding applicants to the stated program(s) who demonstrate academic excellence, high research ability and potential, and outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as presented in the application for admission.

Students who are not in receipt of other major external awards or scholarships can be given preference in the selection process, but must meet or exceed all other eligibility criteria — in the opinion of the selection committee.

Endowed scholarship.
