Braden Story Memorial Award |

This endowment was created by family and friends of the late Braden Story '16.
Braden Story had a special connection with everyone he met. He looked up to, and is greatly missed by his older brothers Evan and Conner along with his adoring parents, Tom and Doris. Braden passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 2, 2020.
Braden displayed a thirst for knowledge from a very young age. He encouraged his peers as he helped many of them pursue their own achievements. His warmth, compassion and constant style were part of his magnetic personality that brought people together and joy to his family, friends and co-workers. Braden graduated from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics in the Spring 2016. From his program, he was the sole recipient on the Dean's List, Honours, Applied Economics. Braden's will and determination enabled him to succeed in all areas of his life including playing lacrosse for his alma mater.
Eligible candidates are full-time, senior undergraduate students (not in Year 1) in the Honours BA Economics program. Candidates must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum overall GPA of 9.0 (B+).
The award will be granted to the eligible candidate with the highest overall GPA. If no candidates are eligible in the Honours BA Economics program, all senior undergraduate students in any program in the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics will be eligible. These candidates must also demonstrate financial need. Students in double-degree programs with other institutions must have declared Laurier as their "home" institution.
