Frank and Elsie Millerd Award in Economics
This award has been established by Dr. Frank Millerd and his wife Elsie in celebration of Dr. Millerd's retirement from the Department of Economics.

The Frank and Elsie Millerd Award in Economics will be granted to a third or fourth year undergraduate student pursuing an honours degree in Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Academic achievement and community service will have equal weight in determining the recipient of the award.

The recipient must have a minimum overall GPA of 9.0 (B+) in all economics courses.

The candidate must demonstrate an ongoing, current, and significant commitment to community involvement and service on or off campus. Preference will be given to applicants who volunteer or work in humanitarian, social justice, or community building activities.

The recipient must also be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant) or protected person, a long-term resident of Ontario, and have proven financial need.
