Manfred and Penny Conrad Graduate Award of Distinction
This award was established by Manfred and Penny Conrad to support learning at the graduate level in the Music Therapy program in the Faculty of Music.

Applicants must be full-time graduate students entering Year 1 of the one-year Masters of Music Therapy program or Year 2 of the two-year Masters of Music Therapy Program; students in the one-year program must have a cumulative GPA of 10.0 (A-) or equivalent in the final undergraduate year of study; students in the two-year program must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 10.0 (A-) in all courses taken during the first year of the program.

Applicants must demonstrate active and on-going involvement in volunteer community work, and in particular, this type of work in the music community.

As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit a concise statement of their reasons for entering the program, their professional goals, and articulate a clear understanding of the current state and practical application of music therapy research. Applicants will be judged on a combination of academic achievement and the content of their submitted statement.

Should more than one applicant be deemed eligible, preference will be given to the applicant who possesses an academic background in a discipline regarded as "scientific", e.g., music therapy, psychology, etc.

Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to receive the "Harmonize for Speech - Master of Music Therapy Award."
